      <image:caption>Julia Berit is that girl you know who is always up to something. She is a plus size model with Natural Models LA, college student graduating in May 2020 with a degree in advertising, body positivity activist, actor with Osbrink Agency, social media lover and influencer. Although she has taken a different path with her college career than initially expected, she has worked on multiple ends of the advertising industry, learning to work with agents, brand managers and content creators alike. She has rolled her experience in copywriting, design, and brand management into her own personal brand, working with brands like Old Navy, Rue21, MTV and VS Pink. After college she will continue what she has been doing during her time in school - creating, working with brands, and officially being a full time model based in LA (once the pandemic is over and it is safe to move).</image:caption>

      <image:title>Design: Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator</image:title>
      <image:caption>This project was meant to create a super hero or villain movie poster, and I chose to take it in a different direction than what students typically do. Inspired by movies like “Jaws”, I created a super villain named the “Murder Manatee”. Getting revenge on the fisherman who have made these animals endangered, a murderous manatee is wrecking ships and ending the danger on the sea cow specie. To create the poster, I compiled several different images, combining to create the manatee tail exposed on top of the water. I used Photoshop and InDesign to make the poster. My personal favorite part of the project was creating the titling. This was the first time I realized how important fonts are and how different effects can create a unique feel that represents the product (or film in this case). Created March, 2020</image:caption>

      <image:caption>For this campaign I was hired as a model and creator, with the Instagram aspect of that to the left, and the modeling work shared in the Old Navy newsletter and on their website shown below. For this collaboration, I shot with their team for two days in LA, negotiated my rate, created and got approved a static post and 4 Instagram Stories which generated over 800 links to their website. The goal here was to use my unique perspective as a body positivity activist, college student and model to talk about finding clothes that are comfortable and stylish to wear in all aspects of my life. With this brand I have learned about creating long term brand relationships, growing together and negotiating based on the continues value I can add to their brand. With all projects on social media, the goal for my end of the job is to create engaging content that can be shared across other pages and platforms to create “earned media” with growth of my own platform and encouraged sales with my affiliate links.       <image:caption>As the Canadian swim brand 437 Swim extended their sizing, they hired several body positive creators to host giveaways on their platforms in order to lead by example, showing all different sized bodies in their swimsuits. For this project I pitched, negotiated and proved why my unique audience would be so valuable to this smaller brand.       <image:caption>Good American was a dream client to work with for me, so this collaboration started with my pitching to them, sharing my plan for how to advertise them on my social media, which resulted in my creating an “edit” on the Good American website, where I chose my favorite products of theirs and had my own landing page on their site. This content and copy was approved by the brand and featured on the GA website, and owner of the brand Khloe Kardashian’s social media.
